General Promotion Rules
Effective date: July 28, 2026
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
These General Promotion Rules (“General Rules”) apply to sweepstakes, prize pots, trivia drawings, giveaways, and other chance-based promotions offered by Bad Beat Billiards that expressly incorporate them (each, a “Promotion”). Every Promotion also has promotion-specific terms displayed on or linked from its official entry page (“Promotion Details”). The General Rules and the applicable Promotion Details together constitute the complete Official Rules for that Promotion.
If these General Rules conflict with the applicable Promotion Details, the Promotion Details control. Entrants should save or print both documents when entering.
1. Sponsor
Promotions are sponsored and administered by Strategic Computer Solutions, Inc., a Tennessee corporation, through its Bad Beat Billiards brand (the “Sponsor”). Questions may be sent to keith@badbeatbilliards.com.
2. Promotion Details
The official entry page for each Promotion will provide or link to its Promotion Details. Those details will identify, as applicable:
- The Promotion name and type;
- The opening and closing date and time;
- The eligible league, game, season, event, or other participation requirements;
- The qualifying results or circumstances, if any;
- How to enter and the applicable entry limit;
- The prize, number of winners, and stated or final prize value;
- The anticipated drawing or winner-selection timing;
- Any scoresheet, identity, eligibility, or other verification requirements; and
- Any additional material restriction or condition that applies only to that Promotion.
A Promotion may be added, extended, suspended, closed, or replaced without amending these General Rules. Changes to a Promotion will be stated in its Promotion Details and will not retroactively reduce the rights of eligible entrants except when reasonably necessary to address fraud, technical failure, legal requirements, or circumstances beyond the Sponsor’s control.
3. General Eligibility
- Unless the Promotion Details state a narrower eligible area, a Promotion is open only to legal residents of the fifty United States and the District of Columbia who are at least eighteen years old at the time of entry.
- Employees, officers, and directors of the Sponsor, and members of their immediate families or households, are not eligible.
- A Promotion may be open to the general public or restricted to players in a particular pool league, game, division, region, session, or season. The applicable Promotion Details will identify any such restriction.
- League-specific Promotion entrants must be eligible players in the identified league and must be able to provide the verification described in the Promotion Details.
- All Promotions are void where prohibited or restricted by law.
4. How to Enter
- Internet access and a valid email address are required.
- Entries must be submitted through the applicable official entry form during the entry period stated in the Promotion Details.
- No purchase, payment, or donation is required to enter or win.
- For a league-match prize pot, an entrant may submit one entry for each separate qualifying match unless the Promotion Details expressly provide otherwise. The same match may not be entered more than once.
- For trivia or another general giveaway, the entry limit will be stated in the Promotion Details.
- An entry is received only when it is successfully recorded by the applicable entry system. The Sponsor’s website, form, and server records are the official timekeeping and entry records.
Entries that are incomplete, inaccurate, automated, late, duplicated beyond the permitted limit, submitted through fraudulent means, or otherwise noncompliant may be disqualified.
5. League-Match Prize Pots
Each league-match pot is specific to the league, game, session or season, and qualifying results identified in its Promotion Details. A qualifying result for one pot does not automatically qualify for another. Only results that can be verified using the documentation required for that Promotion are eligible.
Current APA pots require a valid APA scoresheet or other verification expressly accepted in the applicable Promotion Details. A match result that cannot be verified on the required scoresheet does not qualify, even if the result may otherwise be recognized during ordinary play. The Promotion Details will list the qualifying outcomes for each active pot.
6. Verification
The Sponsor may verify any entry, match, scoresheet, identity, age, residency, league participation, eligibility fact, or other information reasonably related to a Promotion. A potential winner must provide requested verification within the response period. Altered, inconsistent, illegible, incomplete, or unverifiable documentation may be rejected.
Submitting an entry does not guarantee eligibility. A person is not an official winner until the Sponsor has confirmed compliance with these General Rules and the applicable Promotion Details.
7. Random Drawings and Odds
- After the applicable entry period closes, the Sponsor will select the number of potential winners stated in the Promotion Details by random drawing from all eligible entries received for that Promotion.
- The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received for the applicable Promotion.
- Entries in one Promotion are not included in any other Promotion unless expressly stated in the Promotion Details.
- The Sponsor may use a reasonable manual or electronic random-selection method.
8. Winner Notification and Response
- The Sponsor will send notice to a potential winner at the email address provided with the entry within five calendar days after the drawing.
- The potential winner must respond and provide all requested eligibility, identity, and verification materials within ten calendar days after the notification is sent.
- If a potential winner does not respond in time, cannot be contacted, fails eligibility or proof requirements, declines the prize, or is otherwise disqualified, the Sponsor may select an alternate potential winner by random drawing from the remaining eligible entries.
- Entrants are responsible for providing an accurate email address and checking inbox, spam, junk, and promotional folders.
9. Prizes
- The prize and number of winners for each Promotion will be stated in the Promotion Details.
- When a prize pot may grow during an entry period, the official prize is the final amount displayed on the applicable Promotion page when that entry period closes, unless the Promotion Details state otherwise.
- Prizes are nontransferable. No substitution is permitted except that the Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable.
- All federal, state, and local taxes and any other costs not expressly included are the winner’s responsibility.
- The Sponsor may require reasonable information necessary for prize delivery, tax reporting, identity confirmation, or legal compliance. Prize fulfillment may be issued or processed in the name of Strategic Computer Solutions, Inc.
10. Conduct and Disqualification
Any attempt to manipulate an entry form or random drawing, submit false information, alter verification material, interfere with a Promotion, obtain entries through automated or fraudulent means, or otherwise undermine fair administration may result in disqualification. The Sponsor may prohibit a person from future Promotions and pursue any remedy available by law.
11. Technical and Administrative Conditions
The Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, misdirected, corrupted, inaccessible, or unrecorded entries; interrupted communications; unavailable forms; device or network failures; human error; or other technical problems beyond its reasonable control. If fraud, technical failure, unauthorized intervention, legal requirements, or another event impairs the integrity or operation of a Promotion, the Sponsor may suspend, modify, or terminate it and, when practical, select a winner from eligible unaffected entries received before the action.
12. Release and Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, entrants agree to release and hold harmless the Sponsor and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, service providers, successors, and assigns from claims, losses, injuries, liabilities, or damages arising from participation in a Promotion or the acceptance, possession, use, misuse, or delivery of a prize, except where such a release is prohibited by law. Nothing in these General Rules limits a right or remedy that cannot legally be limited.
13. Privacy
Information collected in connection with a Promotion will be used to administer entries, verify eligibility, contact potential winners, deliver prizes, prevent fraud, maintain required records, and otherwise as described in the Bad Beat Billiards Privacy Policy.
14. Governing Law and Disputes
To the extent permitted by law, these General Rules, the Promotion Details, and each Promotion are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any legal proceeding arising from a Promotion must be brought individually, and not as part of a class or representative action, in a court of competent jurisdiction located in Tennessee, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
15. Third-Party and Platform Disclaimer
Unless expressly stated in the Promotion Details, Promotions are not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with any pool league, sanctioning organization, social-media platform, video platform, form provider, email provider, or prize-brand company. References to third-party names or marks identify eligibility requirements, verification sources, communication channels, or prizes only. Entrants release such third parties from responsibility for the Promotion to the extent permitted by law.
16. Changes to These General Rules
The Sponsor may update these General Rules for future Promotions. The version in effect when an entrant enters a Promotion will apply to that entry unless a change is required by law or is reasonably necessary to protect entrants or the integrity of the Promotion. The effective date appears at the top of this page.
17. Contact
Questions about a Promotion or these General Rules may be sent to keith@badbeatbilliards.com. Include the Promotion name in the subject line when possible.
